Robin Schauffler
ROBIN SCHAUFFLER is a writer and high school teacher in Portland. She has traveled in all fifty US states and in Chile, Mexico, Cuba, and Central America. From 1997 to 2000 she and her husband Peter lived and worked in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. She has written a book about those years; several chapters have been published as stand-alone pieces. Her writing has appeared in Open Spaces, Street Roots, Oregon English Journal, Oregon Quarterly on line, Voicecatcher, Cargo Literary, The Sun (Readers Write), and online in Beautiful Things from River Teeth (and penciled in the margins of many, many student papers). Two short-short stories received Honorable Mention in Glimmertrain contests; she has earned Pushcart nominations from Open Spaces and Voicecatcher.
