Her Blackfeet name is Motai Auksi Piksi Ahki: a writer who has lived in eight states and two countries, but found home in the woods by the Pacific Ocean. With a resume that includes dog track usher, park ranger, rancher, counseling psychologist and veteran, she culls the words born of those experiences and encounters and tries to infuse them with the compassion, angst, resilience and gratitude these events have taught.
